In 2025, It's up to you!
10th of March 2025
Humanity—this time not just Romanians—has gone through, and is still are going through, challenges unimaginable 10-15 years ago.Technological evolution, globalization, and progressivism have triggered many emotional responses in people, some unexpected and very difficult to control.
As safe as life on Earth might seem in theory due to this interconnection, it is just as vulnerable. People have realised that no matter how hard they try, they have no control over what happens outside of them. None at all. However, they do have the power to choose what they believe is best for them. The trend of “power belongs to the people” has become one of the strongest tendencies in recent years. It is rooted in a growing perception of autonomy over one’s own choices, along with all the associated consequences.People are turning the page. They no longer want what has brought them discomfort in the past. They want change; they want something different.
What is happening in Romania?
After the pandemic years and the outbreak of war in Ukraine, people sought relief through hedonism and carpe diem: traveling, vacations, experiences—things that had previously been postponed to a future they once believed was predictable. When predictability was lost, they rushed towards living, freedom, and joy.
The year 2024 was more settled, more tempered in this regard compared to 2023. Many people transitioned from a phase of healing to one of recovery, stability, and calm. A calmness anchored in emotional independence, fluidity, a slower pace of life, a simplification of priorities, and a distancing from what disturbs them. A firm belief that it is up to them to build the life they desire.
However, the consequences of this newfound liberation are unexpected. Why? Because while people have awakened and seek better solutions for themselves, they don’t necessarily have access to offers that align with their expectations. And in such cases, they may make poor, even destructive choices.
“Everything depends on you” is a mature decision. However, what we choose can paradoxically be an immature consequence. This is because choices depend on the offerings provided by the societies we live in and the companies from which we buy products and services.
Hunters is a study that aligns us with what people desire in 2025.
The study indicates the direction we are heading in, given that people have already decided that their safety net lies within themselves, not outside. This set of information can serve to strengthen the relationship between people and their leaders, as long as it is used with morality, values, and in the service of people—not other interests. It’s up to us!
